It reads “In other words, Public Cloud is the one which is run a service provider and Private Cloud is the one which is run by your own IT department.â€It should be In other words, Public Cloud is the one which is run by a service provider and Private Cloud is the one which is run by your own IT department.On a more thoughtful note, my take is that cloud and virtualization will eventually render IT departments weaker and if not extinct will change them in a big way, as infrastructure may not be owned by them – especially for smaller entities, including divisions within large organizations will feel the transformation.Private v/s Public is for real. However the key challenge I see with cloud is security and human comfort. And hence large corporates will obviously have their own clouds. However my question is, are applications ready for the cloud? Innovations such as iPAD, Chrome OS etc. are conducive to cloud but they are merely platforms to connect to cloud, apps are the soul.
